Having discover the delights of distance coaching, with clients spread across North American and scattered around the globe, I no longer maintain a space for seeing clients in person.
Is this the same as psychotherapy?
No. Psychotherapy is a set of specific procedures and techniques used to diagnose and treat mental and emotional illness. My clients do not suffer from any bio-psycho-social or neuro-mental functioning impairment, personality disorder, or emotional illness.
Who hires a coach, or spiritual counselor?
Coaching clients are high achievers who are strongly motivated to gain success, and who hold themselves accountable to their commitments. They are eager to try new approaches, want to learn from mistakes, and keep moving forward.
Spiritual counseling clients share many of these qualities and are thoughtful in discerning what beliefs resonate with their own sense of integrity. They are seeking a deeper, more satisfying sense of connection with the sacred work than religious dogmas provide.
How does tele-coaching work?
We'll start with a chat to determine if coaching is the best method to get you where you want to go at this time. Then we'll schedule the first session, decide which package to start with, and take payment. I'll email some initial paperwork, and at your scheduled time, you'll call me. From there we'll have focused conversation, reports on your progress, and new assignments to complete between sessions.
